Send an agent into
your entire codebase.
Work Directory mode gives any agent full read/write access to a folder on your Bridge machine — a repository, a project directory, or any subtree you choose.
No manual file uploads. No isolated sandbox. The agent reads your existing code, edits files in place, and reports back exactly what changed.
Pick a folder. Let the agent work.
Choose OUTPUT ONLY to generate new files, or WORK DIRECTORY to let the agent read and edit your repo directly. Focus paths narrow the agent's starting point — or leave it open for full exploration.
How it works
Create a task or routine
From the task board or routines page, write your instructions as usual. Select WORK DIRECTORY as the output mode.
Choose your folder & focus paths
Open the path picker and select the working directory — a full repo, a subfolder, or individual files. The agent starts from your selection, then can explore the rest as needed.
Agent edits. You see what changed.
The agent reads your existing code, edits files in place, and streams output back live. Every file it touches is listed in the run record — no mystery, no hidden side effects.
Two modes, two use cases
The agent writes all files into an isolated output folder. Nothing outside that folder is touched. Good for generating reports, drafts, research summaries, or new files from scratch.
- ✓ Safe — no existing files modified
- ✓ Ideal for content generation
- ✓ Predictable output location
The agent operates directly inside the folder you choose — reads existing files, makes changes in place, and leaves the result exactly where your toolchain expects it. Good for code changes, refactors, bug fixes, and any task that needs real codebase context.
- ✓ Full codebase context — no re-explaining your stack
- ✓ Edits land where your tools expect them
- ✓ Focus paths for targeted changes
- ✓ Works with every provider
What you can do with it
Point the agent at your full codebase. It reads the relevant files, locates the issue, and patches it in place.
Let the agent scan your components, add ARIA labels, fix contrast issues, and update every affected file automatically.
The agent reads existing code, understands what it does, and writes accurate docstrings — directly in the source.
Rename a symbol across 50 files. Move a module. Update import paths. The agent handles the mechanical work.
Point the agent at a file or folder. It reads the implementation and writes matching unit tests alongside it.
Upgrade a library version, update call sites, and fix breaking changes across the entire repo in one task.
The Bridge connects outbound. Works behind any NAT, firewall or corporate proxy — no router config needed.
Your code never leaves your machine. The Bridge runs locally — only task status and terminal output are relayed.
Work Directory mode works with Claude, Copilot, Gemini, Codex, Cursor, Hermes and OpenClaw — your choice.
